| Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge |
For three years, the third Saturday of July has been marked as the day
when riders from Nepal and different parts of the world ride 50
kilometers around the Kathmandu Valley. Every year the riders ride for a
cause. This year they plan to build an eco-designed building for a
birthing facility. They plan to make the building earthquake-proof,
secure, warm and welcoming because just having a building that meets
minimum requirements is not enough. In order to raise the money for
building this facility, participants are requested to ask their friends,
family members or companies to pledge at least Rs. 100 for every
kilometer they ride.
